Inside Line Promotions – WEEDSPORT, N.Y. (Aug. 2, 2021) – Veteran sprint car driver Tim Kaeding will make his season debut with Sides Motorsports this weekend.

Team co-owner Jason Sides will race with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink on Friday and Saturday at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo., during the Ironman 55 before Kaeding tackles the 10th annual Fatheadz Eyewear Capitani Classic presented by Great Southern Bank on Sunday at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, as well as the 26th annual Sage Fruit Front Row Challenge next Monday at Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

“TK runs good at Knoxville so the plan is to get some laps in the car with that motor,” Sides said. “It’s basically going out there for a little test session in preparation for the Knoxville Nationals next week.”

Sides is looking forward to his two nights of racing this weekend at one of his favorite tracks.

“Pevely is close to home and it’s fun to race there,” he said. “I’ve always enjoyed it. It’s one of the highlights for me each year. Sometimes the track is really good around the bottom and other times the top has more bite where you can rip around there.”

Sides competed in New York last weekend for the first time since 2018. He finished one spot shy of tying his career-best performance at Ransomville Speedway in Ransomville on Friday with a 13th-place outing during The Big ‘R’ Shootout prior to a 20th-place result on Saturday at Weedsport Speedway during the Empire State Challenge.

“We weren’t very good in the slick,” he said. “Ransomville was okay, but we really struggled at Weedsport. It was so slick. We changed everything every time we came in. It was like a four-wheel slide every time you went into the corner.”
