Inside Line Promotions – PEVELY, Mo. (April 8, 2021) – Brian Brown recorded his first top 10 of the season during World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series competition last Friday to kick off a doubleheader at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55.

April 2 – Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo. – Qualifying: 17; Heat race: 4 (6); Feature: 9 (11).

“We didn’t qualify as well as we’d like, but we started sixth in the heat and went forward to fourth,” Brown said. “In the A Main we were pretty decent. We were in the top 10 and I had a bad double-file restart and lost almost five spots. We just scratched and clawed our way back to our first top 10 with the Outlaws this year. The guys are working hard and we’re progressing. It was a solid night of passing cars and it felt like we’re racing. It was a good notebook night and we were able to look forward to Pevely on Saturday night.”

April 3 – Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo. – Qualifying: 17; Heat race: 5 (6); Feature: 14 (14).

“It started like Night 1 as we qualified in the same spot,” Brown said. “We went from sixth to fifth in the heat. In the feature it was the same scenario where we made some progress in the beginning, lost some progress and came back to finish 14th. It felt like we were off a little bit versus Friday. Sometimes you’ll have that. Overall, it was a decent weekend and it was awesome to see a full crowd. It seems like the fans are as pumped to be at the track as we are to see them back at the track. It’s great for all of our partners, Casey’s, FVP, everybody that supports us and allows us to go out and run these races.”

UP NEXT – Friday at Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Iowa, and Saturday at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa, with the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series and Midwest Open Wheel Association

“This weekend we’re just watching the weather,” Brown said. “The tentative plan is to be in Donnellson, Iowa, on Friday with an open 410 race and Saturday with the IRA in Burlington. We’ll watch the weather and see what happens. We’re looking forward to getting to a great track and seeing all the fans.”
