Pevely, MO (May 21, 2005) Dave Jumper rolls to victory in the UMP Late Model division as he avoided two major crashes that eliminated many of the early leaders. Brian Wolfmeier led the early laps but a crash on lap eleven involving the third, fourth and fifth place cars of Mark Oller, Mark Voigt and Ed Dixon slowed the field. Voigt's car ended up on top of Oller's machine, however Oller was the only car able to restart from the incident. On the restart, the first and second place car of Brian Wolfmeier and Tim Ratajczyk got together and spun and collected several other cars in the process. Jeff Johns inherited the lead after this incident but Dave Jumper used the high side to make the pass on Johns and Jumper went on to victory. Johns held off Denny Woodworth to claim second. Butch Kruckeberg crossed the line after Woodworth for fourth and Danny Haynes rounded out the top five. Dennis Richards led wire to wire in the UMP Modified main event. Richards held a comfortable lead until he got into lapped traffic late in the event which allowed Brian Wolfmeier to make a challenge for the lead. Wolfmeier pulled along side Richards on three different occassions on the final two laps, but Richards found the faster line through the traffic and picked up the win. Brent Thompson crossed the line in third, Rich Whaley was fourth and Scott Weber completed the top five. Troy Medley won his first ever feature event in the AARA Sportsman division. Medley put on a dominating performance as he swept the Sportsman events by winning his qualifying heat, the dash and the main event. Medley led all fifteen laps of the main event enroute to the win. Troy Naeger brought his Dodge Charger home second, with Chuck Adams taking the third spot and Paul Bauman and Paul Belken rounding out the top five. Zac Parks claimed the Missouri/Illinois Dodge Dealers Hard Charger Award. Parks passed the most cars in the main event to earn the award and gets the $200 bonus. Chris Fisher also swept in the AARA Pro 4 Stocks. Fisher led the entire distance as well to pick up the win. Scott Geary brought his pickup home in the second position with Mike McMullin taking third. Homer Mooney finished in the fourth position and Cassie Crockett rounded out the top five as she also won the other qualifying heat. Marc McClintock took home the Vintage Modified main event. McClintock battled early with Andy Anderson and Rich Steyh for the lead but McClintock claimed the win. Mike Moore came up just short stealing away the win on the last lap and had to settle for second. Craig Simm took third.
