Rico Abreu claims POWRi win at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55!

(August 3, 2019) – Earning his 11th-career POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League victory on Friday night, Rico Abreu did so in jaw-dropping fashion at the Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55. Driving from 14th-to-1st in 15 laps, Abreu put on a clinic as he marched through the field almost instantly and then ran away in the second half for a dominating triumph at the Pevely, Mo. 1/3rd-mile. While Abreu took the green flag from the outside of the seventh row, it was Zach Daum of Pocahontas, Ill. in his Toyota No. 5D and C.J. Leary of Greenfield, Ind. aboard the Reynolds Racing, Lucas Oil, Ripper/SR-11 pacing the field out front. McDOUGAL WINS FIRST WITH LATE RACE PASS OF ROOMIE AT I-55

By: Richie Murray – USAC Media September 1st, 2018 – Pevely, Missouri………Back at the end of May, Jason McDougal moved from his Broken Arrow, Oklahoma home to the state of Indiana to further his racing career. Sight unseen, at the invitation of fellow racer Kevin Thomas, Jr., McDougal became roommates with Thomas and his wife Whitney at their home. Fast forward to Saturday night and the final restart with five laps remaining in the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car debut at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55. McDougal put his Daigh-Phillips Motorsports/DRC/Foxco Chevy up on the rail and outdueled Thomas on the final restart with five laps remaining to pick up his first career USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car feature victory.
