April 30, 2005 Results

Pevely, MO (April 30, 2005) A great field of cars turned out at I-55 Raceway and they put on a fast and exciting show. On Saturday morning, track officials were still unsure they could get tonight's event in after heavy rains on Thursday and Friday. However, the track crew worked diligently most of the day and with sunshine and breezy conditions, the action got started right on time. Thirty-two United Midwestern Promoters (UMP) Late Models checked in the gate to compete. Randy Korte of Highland, IL made his first visit of the 2005 racing season to I-55 Raceway and topped the thirty-two car field as he swept the night's events by winning his qualifying heat, the dash and the main event. April 16, 2005 Results

Pevely, MO (April 16, 2005) It was a night of action at I-55 Raceway that won't be forgotten anytime soon. A huge turnout of fans witnessed side-by-side action race after race as some cars raced around the top while others chose the very bottom. The United Midwestern Promoters(UMP) Late Model main event was a barn burner as Justin Allgaier of Riverton, IL, took home a very hard fought victory. Allgaier took the lead on the opening lap and had a battle on his hands for the lead for the entire twenty-five laps. Mark Voigt applied the pressure for the first half of the race, as Voigt charged around the low side through the turns attempting to make the pass for the lead, Allgaier would pull ahead down each straight away. April 9, 2005 Results

Pevely, MO (April 9, 2005) A beautiful Spring evening provided a great backdrop for an excellent night of racing at I-55 Raceway. The nice weather brought out a large crowd for the first regular night of racing. The U.M.P. Late Model division hit the track for the first time in 2005. Billy Faust started on the outside of the front row of the main event and led all twenty-five laps enroute to victory. Faust held off the early challenges of Clay Baumann but was able to distance himself from Baumann late in the race as they work lapped traffic. Baumann found himself battling to hang on to the second position as Matt Taylor and Rodney Melvin applied the pressure for most of the event. Baumann was able to fend off the challenges and finish second with Taylor third and Melvin fourth. Mark Voigt claimed the fifth position as he crossed …

World of Outlaw Sprint Car Photos Kraig Kinser Sweeps World of Outlaws Sprint Series Racing Weekend With Victory At I-55 Raceway Pevely, MO — April 2, 2005 — By Chris Dolack, World of Outlaws Senior Writer Kraig Kinser surged to the front in only six laps Saturday night at I-55 Raceway and held off the charging Craig Dollansky to win a World of Outlaws Sprint Series feature for the second consecutive night. Kinser, who started on the pole and easily won Friday at Batesville Speedway, was forced to work a little harder last night. He started seventh, but followed Tim Kaeding to the front on the 1/3-mile high-banked oval in one of the most intense races this season.
