National Dirt Racing League Reschedules Postponed Events for This Weeks as “Let’s Get Dirty Tour” Opens at Paducah & St. Louis

…Pair of Races Bring the Biggest Stars of Short Track Action to Paducah Raceway Friday April 12th &  Federated Auto Parts Raceway @ I-55 Saturday April 12th 13th

 PADUCAH, KY  (April 6, 2013)   The stage was set last weekend for two of the biggest short-track racing events of the season, then Mother Nature put things on hold by raining out on both race nights. Now the National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) double-header race weekend at Paducah Raceway in Kentucky and Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri has been rescheduled and the green flag is set to wave next weekend with big money on the line for a host of America’s most talented dirt racing aces. The NDRL will kick off its inaugural season with these two must see $20,000 to-win events at Paducah Raceway on Friday April 12th in Paducah and then travel to the metro St. Louis area for the Saturday April 13th high speed slugfest at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely.

 The list of stellar short track speedsters that will be in action during the two-race weekend includes Billy Moyer (Batesville, Arkansas) and Scott Bloomquist (Mooresburg, Tennessee). Both Moyer and Bloomquist have attained a national following as superstars of American dirt racing, but in the March 29-30 NDRL ‘Lets Get Dirty Tour’ they will have to square off against a stellar list of formidable competitors including Shannon Babb (Illinois), Brian Birkhofer (Iowa), Jonathan Davenport (Georgia),Ed Dixon (Missouri), Terry & Tanner English (Kentucky), (Dennis Erb Jr. (Illinois), Jason Feger (Illinois), Steve Francis (Kentucky), Randy Korte (Illinois), Jimmy Mars (Wisconsin), Billy Moyer Jr. (Arkansas), Jimmy Owens (Tennessee), Brandon Sheppard (Illinois), Brian Shirley (Illinois), Randy Weaver (Tennessee) and a host of other talented racers in the NDRL Super Late Model and UMP Open-Wheel  Modified events both race nights.

 In addition to the high-speed drama provided on the tracks, spectators will also be treated to live concert performances by Nashville recording artist Cody McCarver at both Paducah and Pevely. McCarver, a former member of Confederate Railroad, has seen his single career blossom with several music video hits on television and his single releases: ‘Redneck Friends of Mine’, ‘I’m  America ‘, his most recent single ‘Lets Get Dirty, for which the NDRL mini-tour has been themed, and ‘Outlaws & Trains’ from the motion picture ‘Cole Younger and The Black Train’. Fans can enjoy the bonus of the concerts and the races for the purchase of a single ticket at each location. At Paducah, Kentucky, the Cody McCarver concert will follow the Friday night (April 12th) racing with a post race concert as he is slated to take the stage at approximately 9:45 pm with the musical act scheduled for approximately an hour and a half.

 Gates open at Paducah Raceway at 1:00 p.m. Friday April 12th with preliminary action of final practice getting underway on the track at 6:00 p.m. followed immediately by qualifying and full racing programs in the two divisions, including the 75-lap feature for the NDRL Super Late Models paying the winner $20,000.00. Following the races fans can hang out with their favorite racing personalities and enjoy the post-race “Let’s Get Dirty Tour” concert by Cody McCarver. On Saturday (April 13th) Federated Auto Parts Raceway @ 1-55 opens gates at 1:00 p.m. with the pre-race Cody McCarver concert kicking things off at 2 p.m.  On track activity gets underway at 5 p.m. with time-trial qualifying scheduled for 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m. with another full night of action with the UMP Open Wheel Modifieds and the NDRL Super Late Models in the weekend’s second 75-lap $20,000.00 to win battle royal. Ticket prices for Grandstand Admission are $35 at the gate or $45 for Pit Passes each night. Paducah International Raceway (PIR) is a 3/8th Mile high banked oval located in Paducah, KY and features some of the best racing action in the area. Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 is a high banked 1/3 mile oval that features racing on Saturday nights. The speedway is located in Pevely, MO and is a mere 30 minutes south of downtown St. Louis on Interstate 55 at Pevely exits 180 and 178.
