Third Time’s a Charm for Thomas at Pevely

Saturday, August 4th, Pevely, MO – Snapping a winless streak at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55, Tyler Thomas claimed the POWRi Lucas Oil National and West Midget League show, leading all 30 laps on his way to a dominant victory over a hard-charging Jason McDougal and POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League point leader Tucker Klaasmeyer. Thomas’s victory in the 2018 Ironman is the 11th of his career and his first with the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League in 2018. Starting on the pole, Thomas wasted no time at the drop of the green flag, taking to the top side of the high-banked 3/8 mile while Ryan Robinson and Karter Sarff filled in the top three. Back-To-Back Ironman 55’s this Friday & Saturday, August 3rd & 4th!

This Friday & Saturday, August 3rd & 4th will be back-to-back Ironman 55s for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series. Friday, August 3rd is the makeup for last year’s Ironman 55 that was rained out. All reserved, general admission & pit passes from last year’s Ironman 55 will be honored on Friday, August 3rd. You must have your ticket or armband from last year’s rained out event. Saturday, August 4th is the 2018 Ironman 55 and rainout passes from 2017 are not valid for this date. Each night is a $20,000 to win event for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series and is a 55 lap feature. The POWRi National Midgets & DIRTcar UMP Modifieds will also compete both nights. Rico Abreu Wins Second Consecutive Ironman at I-55

PEVELY, MO – August 4, 2018 – Rico Abreu took the lead away from Kraig Kinser on Lap 21 and held off charges from Tim Shaffer and David Gravel to win his first World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series Feature of the 2018 season. Abreu survived two Gravel slide jobs in the closing laps and held off the Connecticut driver for his second consecutive Ironman 55 triumph for a $20,000 payday. Jacob Allen completed the podium. Abreu won the Sears Craftsman Dash to earn the pole for the 55-Lap Feature, alongside Outlaw veteran Kraig Kinser. Kinser got the jump on the initial start and powered away in search of his first victory of the season.
