New Month of Money Event at I-55 Raceway Highlights 2009 Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaw Schedule

CONCORD, N.C. — Nov. 1, 2008 — The 2009 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series schedule will feature 80 events, including a new two-day event in the “Month of Money” at Ken Schrader’s I-55 Raceway.   Kicking off Feb. 6 as part of the Alltel DIRTcar Nationals by UNOH at Volusia Speedway Park near Daytona Beach, Fla., the Greatest Show on Dirt will then return to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Dirt Track on its way to the Mini Gold Cup in March at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, Calif.

Rain Cancels Roundup Hot Laps, “Party” Kicks Off Thursday

PEVELY, Mo. — Oct. 15 2008 — Persistent rain today at I-55 Raceway has forced the cancellation of tonight’s hot lap sessions for the inaugural UMP DIRTcar Roundup By MyRaceLife.com. Registration for the event dubbed as the “Party in Pevely” by I-55 owner Ken Schrader will remain open until 10 p.m. The opening day of action is set for tomorrow morning, Oct. 16. Pit gates and registration will open at 10 a.m. with Opening Ceremonies slated for 5 p.m. All eight UMP DIRTcar Racing-sanctioned divisions will participate in the blockbuster program, which blends hard-nosed competition on the high-banked, one-third-mile oval with fun and festivities off it.

Dirt Trackers Unite at NASCAR Stars’ Tracks for 6th Annual Tri-Track Challenge

By Michelle Petroff MACON, IL (May 26, 2008) – Three Midwestern dirt tracks owned by a group of NASCAR’s most prominent names are preparing to host an exciting weekend of racing with the “6th Annual Tri-Track Challenge”. The “Tri-Track Challenge” was a unique concept that debuted in 2002 and offered three back-to-back nights of UMP Late Model competition, all on different track surfaces, and a hefty $10,000 bonus to any competitor who could win two of three events. Dirt racing standout Shannon Babb of nearby Moweaqua, IL, dominated all three events en route to his $40,000 weekend paycheck. Since that inaugural season, the first weekend in June has continued to draw some of the most popular names in UMP/Northern Allstar Late Model competition including last year’s winners.

World of Outlaws Gear Up for I-55 Raceway

The track always provides close racing and is a favorite of most every driver in the pit area. The series has been competing at the track since 1987. In that time, 12 drivers have won at the track, including nine current World of Outlaws competitors.

I-55 Raceway announces ticket exchange details for cancelled World of Outlaw Show on April 7th!

Pevely, MO (April 11, 2007) I-55 Raceway and the World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series could not find an appropriate date that worked for both parties to reschedule the event scheduled at I-55 Raceway on April 7th that was cancelled due to the extreme cold weather. Therefore, I-55 Raceway is offering those who had reserved tickets for the April 7th event several options. Those holding those tickets can exchange them for tickets to the July 7th World of Outlaw Sprint Show at I-55 Raceway, or they can exchange them for the July 25th M&M Night of Stars event, or the September 15th World of Outlaw Late Model event. To exchange your tickets, call the I-55 Raceway office at 636-479-3219 on any Wednesday and they will take care of you. If for any reason none of those dates fit into your schedule, I-55 Raceway will refund the ticket holder mail there …

I-55 Raceway kicks off their 2007 racing season on March 31st!

Pevely, MO (March 3, 2007) Another thrilling racing season on the high-banked 1/3 mile dirt oval of I-55 Raceway gets under way in the month of March. The track co-owned by NASCAR legend Ken Schrader and Ray Marler gets started on March 24th with a practice (test & tune) session from noon to 4p.m. Any dirt racecars are welcome to come out and test their machines. Grandstand entry will be free for all spectators that would like to come out and watch on this day.
