Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 announces purse increase for UMP DIRTcar Modified division!

Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 is proud to announce that the weekly purse for the UMP DIRTcar Modified division will have a substantial increase for the 2014 season. The feature event will now pay $700 to win and $100 to start. Full details on the entire 24 car starting field payout will be out soon, but all finishing positions will have an increase!

Last Chance for UMP points before Eldora! This Saturday September 28th @ Federated Auto Parts I-55 Raceway! The 12th Annual “Bud Pohle Memorial” AARA Fall Nationals takes on a New look. In an attempt to widen the fan base the UMP Late Models , Modifieds & B- Mods (racing under the Highland rule package also allowing E-85 fuel) have been added to the program and will race for normal weekly purses while the Sportsman, PureStocks & Pro 4’s will race for Great Purses with Sportsman still being the featured Race!. We decided to make it more economical for all of the Racer’s and have Eliminated all Entry Fees! I-55 Raceway lost a dear friend that worked at the track for many years..

  Hattie (Tootie) French and her husband Butch have worked at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 for many years. They have lived at the track 6 months out of the year for many years as well helping maintain the facility. Tootie worked in the concession stand in turn 4 for many years. Tootie passed away Sunday from heart complications. Butch and Tootie had been married for 47 years. The viewing will be a C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge on Wednesday from 5pm – 9pm. Her services will be on Thursday at 11am at Boyer Chapel. Please keep Butch and their children and grandchildren in your prayers. Ray, Sue and the entire I-55 Raceway family are deeply saddened by the loss of Tootie.

NDRL Finally Ready to Launch Inaugural Season at Paducah and I-55!

NDRL’s Inaugural Weekend Rescheduled for April 12 and 13

Pittsburgh, PA (March 31, 2013)  After inclement early spring weather washed away the NDRL’s inaugural weekend. Series and track officials have announced the rescheduled dates of Friday, April 12 for Paducah International Raceway and Saturday, April 13 for Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55. The two separate $20,000 to-win feature events will be accompanied by two separate $2,000 to-win events for the UMP Modifieds.  ‘First I want to extend a huge personal thank you to all the NDRL fans, drivers,’ NDRL founder John Kennedy stated, ‘as well as our partners like Cody McCarver, Legendary Entertainment, PIR and I-55 who stayed with us through all of the poor weather conditions during our inaugural race weekend.  Our entire team was committed to providing a great event for everyone, but mother nature simply would not cooperate.
