Pevely, MO (May 29, 2004) Justin Allgaier of Riverton, IL put on a dominating performance as he swept the action in the U.M.P. (United Midwestern Promoters) Late Model division. Allgaier, who started front row pole of the main event by virtue of his earlier wins in his qualifying heat and dash, led all twenty-five laps and lapped all but top five finishers. After the event, Allgaier dedicated the win to his grandfather who is battling cancer. It is a big weekend for Allgaier, who is set to graduate from high school on Sunday, May 30th.

Current track point leader Ed Dixon had a mechanical problem coming out of turn 4 on the opening lap and Tim Rataczyk drove over Dixon left rear. Dixon's night was over early and Ratajczyk would only last a couple of laps on the restart before dropping out of the event. Outside front row starter Kyle Steffen climbed the wall in turn 1-2 on on the opening lap and narrowly escaped from getting upside down. Steve Shive also his the wall on the front stretch on the opening lap and came to a stop going into turn one. Steffens was able to restart the event and brought home a second place finish. Mark Oller battled with Steffens for the final ten laps but could not make the pass and settled for third. Jeff Johns continued his steady pace with yet another top five finish and he held off Mark Voigt for fourth. Voigt, who started eleventh rounded out the top five.

Brian Wolfmeier hit the wall head on coming out of turn four on lap eight. He was OK but the car suffered heavy damage.

Scott Weber of Festus, MO brought his broom with him as well and he swept the action in the U.M.P. Modified division. Weber led all twenty laps of the main event but had to hold off the hard charging Mark Miner at the end to earn the victory. Modified point leader Bobby Bittle worked through traffic to earn the third spot. Ray Wagner, making only his second visit of the season to I-55 Raceway took the fourth spot and Doug Wood rounded out the top five.

Chris Soutiea earned the Missouri/Illinois Dodge Dealers Hard Charger Award. Soutiea started twenty-third in the main event after trouble in hotlaps forced him to miss his qualifying heat. Soutiea worked his way up through the field to finish thirteenth.

Paul Belken ended Ricky Horton's winning streak in the A.A.R.A. Sportsman division at three. Belken had to hold off Horton for the entire fifteen laps to pick up the win. Horton settled for second as he couldn't complete the sweep. Horton's win in the dash earned him the G&M Steel Dash for Cash $100 prize. Bobby Prince fought his way to the third spot in the feature with Paul Bauman and Ron Imm, Jr. rounding out the top five.

Pat Brewer took the victory in the A.A.R.A. Pro 4 Stock division. Brewer took the lead in the last turn of the last lap as he moved past Dave Heinrichs who lost a tire going into the final turn. Homer Mooney took second, Jim McCumminsky was third, Steven Ide fourth and Gary Price fifth.
