Pevely, MO (August 14, 2004) Brian Wolfmeier raced to his first victory of 2004 at I-55 Raceway in the U.M.P. (United Midwestern Promoters) Late Model division. Wolfmeier started on the inside of the second row and moved past early leader Danny Haynes on lap seven. Haynes would pressure Wolfmeier for the lead throughout the event, but Wolfmeier went on to take the win. Tim Ratajczyk, Mark Oller and Bruce Unterbrink battled and swapped positions throughout the entire event as they battled for the third spot. Ratajczyk edged out Oller for the third spot, Unterbrink followed Oller across the line to take fifth.

Kevin Gundaker and Kyle Steffens won the qualifying heats. The dash turned what looked to be a promising night for both drivers into a rough night for both. Gundaker was leading the dash with Steffens right on his heels when Gundaker spun in turn two on lap six. Steffens couldn't avoid the spinning Gundaker and slammed into the side of him. Jeff Johns, who was running third, also was taken out in the crash when he hit Steffens. Danny Haynes went on to win the dash.

Jim Durbin recovered from mechanical problems early on to win the Missouri/Illinois Dodge Dealers Hard Charger Award. Durbin pulled out early in his qualifying event and had to start shotgun on the field in the main event. Durbin nearly missed the start of the main event, as he pulled onto the track for the main event and then had to be pushed to the infield as his car wouldn't start. His crew worked feverishly to get his car ready and he made it out just before the green flag dropped to start the event. Durbin would work his way to a ninth place finish. Durbin earns an extra $200 for winning the Missouri/Illinois Dodge Dealers Hard Charger Award.

Bobby Bittle continued his great season at I-55 Raceway as he picked up yet another win in the U.M.P. Modified division. Bittle moved past Tom Ratajczyk on the second lap of the event and led the remaining distance to pick up the win. The real battle was for the third spot as eight different drivers tried to take the spot at one time or another. In the end, it was Eric Mabery taking third, Brian Wolfmeier fourth and Brent Mullins completing the top five.

Troy Naeger took his Dodge Intrepid to victory lane in the A.A.R.A. Sportsman division. Naeger led all fifteen laps but had to hold off a late charge from Ricky Horton to get the win. Scott Stuppy took the third spot. Bob Prince charged through the field to take fourth and Paul Belken came home fifth.

Dave Heinrichs won the A.A.R.A. Pro 4 Stock feature as he powered his Dodge Neon to a huge lead and an impressive win. Conrad Miner took the second spot and Pat Brewer finished third.
