Pevely, MO (April 15, 2006) Ken Schrader made his first visit of the 2006 racing season to compete at the track he co-owns with longtime friend Ray Marler. Schrader and his crew hit the setup perfectly all night long as his Red Baron's Pizza #99 dirt UMP Late Model was dominant throughout the show. Schrader got the night started by handily winning his qualifying heat race over Mark Voigt and Denny Woodworth. Schrader then moved on to battle Tim Ratajczyk and Bryan Collins in the dash for all nine laps but held on to claim the victory.

Schrader had the pole position for the start of the main event and took the lead at the drop of the green flag, but Bryan Collins would move right up and start battling for the lead with Schrader. Schrader soon found his line right up against the outside wall while Collins used the low side. Schrader would stretch out his lead somewhat as they battled through lapped traffic but the caution would fly on lap nine. On the restart, Schrader had one lapped car in between himself and second place Collins which would prove costly for Collins. Collins would take a full lap to find his way past the lapped car, allowing Ed Dixon to move past and into the second position. Dixon began reeling in Schrader as the laps were winding down, steadily closing the gap until he was right on Schrader's bumper. Dixon would show Schrader the nose of his car on the final lap, but couldn't get any closer and Schrader crossed the line just out in front for the victory. Collins recovered and finished in the third position behind Dixon. Tim Ratajczyk would pick up the fourth spot and Mark Oller would complete the top five.

The UMP Modifieds put on another one of their classic great dog fights. The modified action started off with a bang when Bobby Bittle had crossed the line in the first heat race as the winner but was then penalized one spot after the race as the officials deemed he had got on the gas too quickly on the start of the event. That gave the win to Ray Walsh. Mark Miner and Doug Wood crossed the line in the second heat race in a photo finish with Miner just inches ahead. Brian Worley would hold off Eric Mabery for the second heat race victory.

Bobby Bittle would battle back in the dash and stole the victory from Ray Walsh on the final lap as he shot past Walsh coming out of turn four to claim the win and earn the pole for the main event.

The modified semi feature had the fans on their feet as Kenny Wallace, who had missed his heat race as he traveled back from the NASCAR Busch race at Nashville, TN, started dead last and came to the front and won the semi on the last lap. Wallace, without so much as getting a hotlap in, put his familiar St. Louis Cardinals UMP Modified up on the cushion and started picking cars off lap after lap. On the final lap, coming out of turn four, Wallace shot past leader Rick Conoyer on the high side and took the win by a half car length.

The UMP Modified feature event was a classic battle between five cars that are all familiar with victory lane at I-55 Raceway. Bittle took the lead from the pole position and faced challenge after challenge throughout the main event. Walsh applied pressure the entire twenty laps as he could pull along side Bittle but couldn't find a way to complete the pass. Brian Worley would use the low side and battle with the two leaders throughout the event as well. Mark Miner moved in and joined the chase as well. It appeared to be a battle with those four until the final three laps when Scott Weber came from nowhere and started picking off cars quickly and was right there with Bittle and Walsh in the closing laps. Bittle, Walsh and Weber crossed the finish line three wide with Bittle just a nose out in front of Walsh who was just ahead of Weber. It appeared Weber needed just one more lap as he had caught the leaders quickly and appeared to have the fastest car at the end. Bittle's motor had lost all the water in the closing laps and in victory lane Bittle said he almost got into the wall several times as the water was getting on his own tires as well as his helmet, causing him to have to use one hand to keep wiping his shield to see. Mark Miner would take the fourth spot and Brian Worley came home in the fifth position.

Chuck Adams earned a well deserved victory in the UMP/AARA Sportsman division. Adams held off defending track champion Paul Bauman and Steve Maisel for the entire fifteen laps. Bauman was able to make the pass for the lead early in the event, but a caution came out on the same lap giving Adams back the lead on the restart. Adams wouldn't make the same mistake again and drove a perfect race to the finish and held off Bauman and Maisel to earn the win. Tom Smallwood would take the fourth position and Mike Nicholson completed the top five.

Mike McMullin would hold off Homer Mooney and Chris Fisher to pick up the win in the AARA Pro 4 Stock division.
